Overview
‘The Magic Whip’ is an excellent moment in Blur’s career, and context is important when looking at this album. After 12 years of everyone pursuing their separate musical endeavours, the band reunited in Hong Kong to create a strong album that stays true to Blur’s roots while incorporating interesting influences from their time in the country. Each song on the album is unique to one another, and while that might seem like it contains songs that don’t mix, the album flows incredibly well as a whole.
Recommended for those looking for Brit-HongKongPop tunes.
