Overview
‘Simplicity’ is full of big Sadboi Rock tunes that feel made for a night drive. JAWS build these lovely, reverb-soaked soundscapes that feel grand and spacious while keeping everything surprisingly relaxed. The guitars stretch out around you, and there are some beautifully soft moments where the band give the music room to breathe. It starts brilliantly, pulling you straight into its hazy world with a run of tunes that really hit. The second half loses a little of that spark, and I found myself waiting for something to land quite as strongly as the opening stretch. Still, the atmosphere carries it well, and those quieter moments give you a lot to settle into. It’s a great listen overall, with enough feeling behind the bigger moments to make them worth turning up. One for watching the streetlights pass and getting a little lost in the guitars.
Recommended for the Sadbois looking for a midnight drive album.
