THE GARDEN
Overview
Founded in 1978, The Garden was an independent recording studio in Shoreditch, East London, built by pioneering musician John Foxx and renowned studio designer Andy Munro. Designed as a high-spec creative space at a time when artist-owned studios were becoming increasingly popular, the facility quickly established itself as a respected destination for elite tracking, production, and mixing. In 1997, the studio became the foundational pillar of the newly formed Miloco Studios network, continuing to operate under The Garden name while helping establish Miloco as one of London’s leading independent studio groups. Although the historic Shoreditch facility permanently closed its doors in December 2012 and was subsequently demolished for redevelopment, its incredible acoustic design and rich pop heritage ensure its status as a permanent giant of East London's music history.
