PARR STREET STUDIOS

Overview
Parr Street Studios is the largest and most prestigious commercial recording complex in the UK outside of London. Originally established as Amazon Studios in the late 1970s, the facility moved to the city centre in 1991, anchoring Liverpool's indie-rock renaissance for three decades. Meticulously designed around elite acoustic architecture, the studio historically paired world-class tracking with residential artist lodging. Following a forced relocation due to urban redevelopment in 2021 becoming Kempston Street Studios, the studio rebuilt its entire heritage setup - including its flagship API console, Pro Tools rigs, and legendary 2-inch tape machines - inside a modernised, seven-room complex in the city's Fabric District.
