ORANGUTAN PRODUCTIONS
Overview
Established around 2003 by local musician Les Redner, Orangutan Productions was an independent recording and production facility located at 4817 Vickrey Chapel Road in Greensboro, North Carolina. Operating for approximately seven years, the private, low-profile workspace provided regional musicians with a relaxed commercial recording facility. Its most prominent international credit came through Kasabian’s acclaimed 2009 album West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum. The project connected the otherwise discreet North Carolina facility with a major British Psychedelic and Alternative-Rock release. Orangutan Productions is believed to have ceased regular recording operations around 2010.
