Overview
‘Unclouded’ is a psychedelic daydream. Melody Prochet’s vocals are beautifully ethereal, drifting through the music with a softness that makes switching off feel very easy. Beneath that lovely psychedelic haze, the playing gives you plenty to latch onto. Those dry guitar tones guide the arrangements, leaving room for the rolling, almost 60s-style drums and complementary basslines to work their magic. It’s that interplay that keeps things moving, even when the whole record feels completely at ease. The guitars have just enough bite to give the dreaminess some texture, while her voice seems to hover somewhere above it all. Everything settles into a groove that suits a slow afternoon and absolutely no plans. A chilled, colourful listen that makes staring into space feel like a good time. ‘Unclouded’ boats an ironic title for a record that makes you feel like you’re floating on a cloud.
Recommended for psychedelic daydreamers who could make staring at a wall seem like a good time.

It’s a pleasant photo of Melody in a spacious room, with a lovely, simple colour scheme. It’s exactly the sort of setting you imagine the record being performed in as you listen.
